Bad Experience and Rude Staff @ Ma’s Restaurant

Baru baru ini, saya ada pengalaman yang buruk ketika berada di kedai Ma’s Restaurant di Tsim Sha Shui. Memang makanan di situ ok, tapi saya tidak berpuas hati dengan layanan yang diberikan. Saya tidak pasti siapa sebenarnya wanita dalam restoran tersebut, sama ada owner atau supervisor tapi memang dia memang sedikit kurang ajar terhadap saya dan family. Saya ada tulis pengalaman saya di kedai ini dlam Facebook page diorang dan juga TripAdvisor. Harap harap selepas ni takder lah orang lain yang terkena seperti apa yang saya hadapi minggu lepas. Tulisan ini di tulis dalam English, saya copy paste balik letak dekat blog.  Jadi minta maaflah sebab terlalu panjang kalau saya  nak ditranslatekan.

Whenever I and family go down to Tsim Sha Tsui area, we always having our lunch at this Ma’s Restaurant TST. This place has been our favourite restaurant until we had a very terrible experience with the staff yesterday. I have no complaint about the food, but I cannot tolerate with the rudeness and the way we were treated yesterday. If you are tourist and happen to come this restaurant for the first time, you will never know that they have a lunch set available which is much cheaper than you order the dish on ala-carte. I’ve been to this place many time, and I only knew this when one of my local friend told me about this. Very strange, apparently they are trying to hide this menu for those peoples who don’t know. Not sure why they are doing that.

When I and family arrived to this place yesterday, we were only given the ala-carte menu although I could see the set menu is available at the counter in front. I could see from far that when the waitress wanted to picked up the set menu for us initially, a lady with glasses (restaurant supervisor maybe) made a hand signal not to give this menu to us. When the waitress gave me the menu only for ala-carte items, then I asked whether I can have the set menu. The waitress seems reluctant to give us the set menu, but when I told her that I knew they have it as my local friend told me that, the lady with glasses came to us with the set menu and angry face. Although we still calm, but I couldn’t stand the way she looked at us. To be honest, I don’t mind if u don’t want to give me the menu, but please don’t make that annoying look as if I’m begging for it. I was just asking whether you have it or not!!!

It did not stop there, once we got the menu, she was immediately asked us what to order and again of course with annoying voices and face. I told her to give us a few minutes to make up my mind, but the lady kept asking us to choose the menu as soon as possible with a rude voice. I felt like she could not wait to get rid of us from the restaurant. Without given much time to look at the menu, we made the order eventually.

After that, my 1 year old baby started to cry. In order to calm her and not to disturb the other customers in the restaurant, my wife fed her with the snack (biscuit) that we brought. Immediately when she saw my wife doing that, she scold us in front of others and yelling at us that we could not bring the outside food. I tried to explain to her that that I just want to calm my child and I won’t make a lot of mess. I can understand if she was mad if we brought in the food like rice or noodle to the shop, but a baby snack won’t do a lot of mess and if there is, we will clean up the table before we go. Furthermore, my wife personally fed the baby, and not my child ate by herself. My explanation didn’t work. Then I asked her to consider for my little baby as my child might be hungry, but she asked me to stop to feed her, kept scolding us with the rude voice and annoying face. Just to avoid more argument, we just stopped feeding her and finished our meal as soon as possible.

I have been to this place many times, I used to recommend to my friends about this restaurant and even organized few dinners previously with my office mates at this place. But since yesterday, I stopped to come to this restaurant forever. What a shame…. If you want to go to Ma’s Restaurant, please go to the other branch at Prince Edward. They are way much better…

Begitu lah kisahnya. So disebabkan ini, saya dah blacklist kan tempat ni dari restoran kegemaran saya. So, kitorang tak kisah tak makan kat tempat ni lain kali, banyak restoran lain kat HK ni. Satu lagi branch Restoran Ma di Prince Edward memang lagi ok, owner dia memang pun friendly. Saya lebih rela tak makan dari rasa sakit hati..

  1. Trip tour group September 2013 singgah makan di Ma Restaurant di Prince Edward selain dari Islamic Center di Hong Kong Island, jumpa Mr Ma, tahun ini selepas solat Jumaat di Masjid Kowloon maka nampak wanita yang bercermin mata mengedarkan flyers untuk cawangan kedua ini, saya jumpa lagi Mr
    Ma, harga memang mahal sedikit (45 HK) untuk mi sup tetapi itu kali yang pertama sehingga kini saya tidak singgah lagi. Puas dari Prince Edward mencari2 Ma Restaurant namun gagal. Jika saya lapar pun, saya singgah di Toko Store milik warga Indonesia, ada jual nasi rawong dan makanan2 halal dari Malaysia dan Indonesia seperti Indomi, kopi, cereal dan air minuman pun boleh beli 2 untuk HK5.00, lokasi exit dari Mongkok, cari terminus green van, ada satu taman/ park kecil untuk riadah.. ramai maid Indo dan Filipino beli supply disana. Mengenai wanita itu, baik kita pergi ke Prince Edward, menu pun lebih baik.

    • Td pun saya baru balik dari restoran ma di prince edward…mmg ok layanan dia. Anak sy yg kecil tumpahkan mee td pun takder lah dia nak marah, siap tlg mop lagi. Kalau yg dekat cawangan tsim sha tsui tu..mesti dia dah jegilkan mata kat sy 😨

  2. Went to this place last week, and it’s no longer there. Couldn’t even pushed the button to 8th floor. So I supposed they have closed down..

    • Not sure about that. It has been a while we haven’t been to that place…didn’t expect they closed the restaurant so fast. Byvthe way thanks for the info. Cheers
